On 11th February, a group of club members travelled into central London for the Chinese New Year parade. We arrived early ahead of the start time.
We were lucky enough to catch the preparations in Duncannon Street, which gave us early access to the parade participants – including some who were happy to pose for photos.

We chose our spot on Charing Cross Road, near St Martin –in-the-Fields, and were grateful that the rain showers eventually stopped in time for the main event.

The parade was a feast for the eyes and ears
Lots of colour, dancing, drumming, and joyful faces

Smiling faces

and graceful dancing

The parade was breath-taking - a true celebration, and definitely worth the early start!

There were more activities going on in China town throughout the day

And a couple of dragons followed us back to Letchworth...
